Shillong, 16 Mar: A Khasi IPS officer, Iada Martin Marbaniang of the 2009 batch has been posted as the new Commissioner of Police of Belagavi city in Karanataka.
The 44-year-old IPS holds a master’s degree in Arts before appearing for UPSC examination and hails from Meghalaya.
Marbaniang has served as the DIG recruitment and SP in Kalaburagi, Yadgir, SP CID Bengaluru and Head of Police Training College earlier.
