Shillong, 26 Mar: Dr. Ricky Syngkon of the Voice of the People Party (VPP) filed his nomination as the candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha election for the Shillong Parliamentary seat at the DC office of East Khasi Hills district today.
Speaking to the media, Syngkon expressed his confidence in winning the election, citing the tremendous support from the people of Khasi and Jaintia.
President of the VPP, Ardent Basaiamoit, was unable to accompany Syngkon.
Dr. Ricky Syngkon informed that Basaiamoit was engaged in various scheduled meetings for the party, which prevented his presence.
He also mentioned that they will soon release their election manifesto
