State Govt patnered with John Abraham to develop football acedemy in Shillong

Shillong, 14 Mar: To bolster football development in the state, the State Government, led by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, announced a partnership with John Abraham and the North East United FC to establish a football residency academy in Shillong.

The State government, in collaboration with John Abraham, honored numerous youths from the state who have brought pride to Meghalaya through their achievements in various sports.

Enthusiastic youths were observed relishing the moment, capturing selfies with the actor and football enthusiast, who also serves as the owner of North East United FC, a team competing in the top tier of Indian football.

Conrad Sangma launched the Meghalaya Sports Scholarship Scheme, aimed at providing monthly financial assistance to our athletes. Depending on medals won in various categories and tournaments, scholarships ranging from Rs. 6000 to Rs. 8000 per month are being awarded.
